JOHN LORD – FORMER TOWNSHIP CLERK
I will continue to bring confidence and accountability to the Clerk’s Office by performance of the job I was elected to do and eliminating unwarranted expenses.
John Lord is a DePaul University graduate and has been an active resident of Midlothian and St Christopher parishioner for over 35 years. Mr. John Lord’s background and chosen profession is accounting, where he has worked in that capacity for over 45 years ensuring the profitability and accurate accounting of the operation, retiring as Deputy Executive Director of Chicago Park District Pension Fund.
John Lord has a long and distinguished involvement with the community. Whether he was a coach, President of St. Christopher Athletic Board, or as an active Past President of St. Christopher Holy Name Society, Mr. Lord’s hard work and dedication to these organizations and the community, is a shining example of what community volunteerism is all about. Mr. John Lord is now actively involved with the St. Vincent DePaul Society – Food Shelter, where he serves as Vice-President. He is also the manager of the St. Christopher’s weekly Bingo fundraising operation.
John Lord’s vast knowledge of finance and his integrity made him the obvious choice to fill a vacancy which propelled him to serve 10 years as a Trustee on the Midlothian Police Pension Fund. Mr. John Lord currently serves as the Treasurer of the Midlothian–Markham Water Commission and as the Treasurer of Township Officials of Cook County – Trustee Division and as the secretary of the Township Officials of Cook County – Clerk Division. Mr. John Lord has also served as an IHSA Softball/Baseball/Basketball Official for 35 years.
In Bremen Township, John Lord spent years as a member of the Bremen Youth Committee, and has served 12 years as a Bremen Township Trustee. Mr. John Lord brings this same commitment and integrity to the Clerk’s Office of Bremen Township as the township clerk.
